party time

Party time has begun.

The first party to attend was my sister’s birthday. Dad informed me that I would be the one in charge. I would have to make sure that all the ordered food and drinks were served, that sister’s teenage friends were at the bowling lane at exactly 01:15 PM and played for 90 minutes straight. Then I’d have to escort them back to the tables to blow out the candles and to dance to the DJ, who dad had hired for her.

I didn’t like the idea and tried to escape, but Dad never gave me a a chance. He broke into my apartment at exactly 12 pm and we drove to the club.

There I heard that lil' sis had invited her German teacher, who was and still is my best friend. The two of us were watching the teenagers and were having fun on the way. We rented our own bowling strip and had a duel shouting slogans, cheering each other up and singing “Mamma Mia” and “Across The Universe’ OST. It was wild.

When the game was over and the cake was cut the dj started the set, which lil sis' and her friends had ordered, but they never danced to it. So my friend and me decided to create our own list and the DJ played our music: we rocked to the Offsprings, rock-and -rolled to Chuck Berry and performed our own version of Tina Turner’s "Typically Male". By the end of the dance session we had been extremely exhausted and hot.

Dad arrived at 5 pm, paid for the party, grabbed the presents and the sister and left. My friend and me headed for a pizza and a coffee to catch our breath.

If only there were more days like that.
